I recently got back from a trip in India, where I got to hang out with one of my good friends Ravi. We met in London on a shoot I organised through the FlickR community and we then started to collaborate on projects ourselves until he moved back to India last year. Ravi & Maryam originally met in Kiev, Ukraine in 1999. They continued their relationship and careers in several various counties and after being together for 11 years, they were married in India in 2011.

I can’t even begin to thank Ravi for the amount he has taught and inspired me. So when he asked me if I could do a session with his wife Maryam and him, I jumped at the chance. We picked Mount Abu for the location, a place where Ravi went to school as a kid.

Mount Abu is absolutely beautiful. Lots of fresh air, nature and stunning sunsets by the lake. We even had some of the local kids join in the session which you’ll see below.

Enjoy!

Thanks Ravi & Maryam for an awesome time in Mount Abu,  Rajasthan and your home in Ahmedabad!

I can’t wait to see you both again soon.

  1. Awesome work bro – you make DrRave look good! :) haha!
But seriously, awesome couple and really gorgeous portraits.
    Once again, you nail it.

  2. absolutely stunning… almost haunting. the light in her hair, the flow of her dress, the way he looks at her, the way they laugh together – all this you captured perfectly. dreamlike… just love this!

  3. Wow! The tones and colours in these are just so beautiful. I love the silhouette and the image third row from the bottom, they’re standouts.

  4. Thank you Sach so much. You made such glamorous, fantastic pictures from almost nothing.
I admire you for finding the deepest feelings in your subjects and your very special attentions to detail which usually is missed from the eyes of ordinary people.

  5. Just been looking through your work – love the use of light and compositions. Really great work. Was in Mount Abu earlier this year as well – sunsets on the mountain top – wow.
