The first few weeks of 2012 started off in the best way. I spent two weeks in India, visiting various towns and cities in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

The images below were taken at the Ghantakaran Mahavir temple in Mahudi, Gujarat.

I found this amazing ‘door’ outside a Jain temple. Various people kept walking through to leave or enter the temple. I walked through it, picked a spot outside and waited a few minutes.

The gentleman below walked through and I got  my shot.

I asked him if I could keep it and he said yes, which therefore meant I could probably get a few more shots : )

The following two portraits resulted.

Massive thanks to this gentleman for letting me take his portraits!

I’ve come back from India with so many images. I’m struggling with where to begin in documenting my trip out there but wanted to share these few images at least first.

Thanks to those who checked out my iPhone images on instagram whilst I was away! You can check out the feed in full here or search within instagram for the hashtag #skIndia.

More soon!
