I met with Kristine and Matthew and few months prior to their wedding at Glenrosa Farm Restaurant on Vancouver Island. It feels weird to write this but at the time, they were the first couple to book me without having ever met me. Being new to Vancouver, this is huge for me and I am very thankful that they did and I was able to experience their day with them.
On our first meeting, I shot this mini session in Metchosin.
A few months later, was their wedding. They described it to me so well and it was amazing to see it all unfold. For me, the speeches were really special. Their friends and family spoke of their love to Matthew and Kristine and you couldn't help but have a lump in your throat. I'm pretty sure there weren't many dry eyes at several points throughout the evening. I love speeches. What I never expect is the amount of emotion and happiness spoken of, with hearts being fully worn on their sleeves. A really magic day.
I'm not the best with words and definitely better at 'speaking' through my camera and I hope my images do it justice.
A big thanks to Tristan Casey for joining me at this wedding too! Epic bro'.
The day started off with morning worship at Kristine's mothers house followed by Kristine and Matthew each getting ready before their first look which took place inside an apple orchard. If that wasn't great enough, the ceremony took place on top of the hills at Glenrosa Farm. Beautiful.
