Last week I had the opportunity to shoot my friends Angela & Kal’s recent engagement.
They were introduced by a friend 10 years ago at Martini’s in Vancouver. She thought he was cute, he thought she was hot!
Now they are engaged and will be getting married next September.
I met them a year and a half ago through other friends and we got along great!
We headed to Vancouver’s Granville Island for this photo session…
We walked past the markets on the Island…
Autumn is around the corner with red Maple leaves falling from the trees …
Angela makes Kal laugh all the time…
and Angela looked stunning in the evening light… She also just had her hair done at Blo at the Fairmont hotel before the shoot…

I had so much fun with you both on this shoot and can’t wait to see you both again soon!

Yep, this is all natural light.. I had no assistant etc and no reflector…
I'm just working with what I had available …
I always try and pick a few hours before sunset to do my E-shoots where possible.. the light is always better at that time.. hope it helps!

First things first… Thank you very much for doing this shoot with us! It was a lot of fun. I am sad that you are not in Canada to do our actual wedding. I guess we will have to take the engagement photos and be happy with that. Honestly it was a great time and it definitely will stay in our memory bank as special. I have to say that we recently did an engagement picture session with our wedding photographer and it wasn’t the same… We both missed you and we knew that we took better pictures with you for many reasons. You make any couple feel “beautiful” and very comfortable! Also, your talent shines through in each and every picture. I am so excited to see your growth over the past year. We are proud of you!
