UBC Cecil Green Wedding
Erin + Chris
I say this a lot and I’ll say it again. I love what I do.
When you’re surrounded by this kind of love, friends and family, you can’t help but be swept away in the magic of the day. Thanks Erin and Chris for choosing me to be a part of your day, allowing me to document your wedding at UBC Cecil Green the way I love to and for inviting me to hang out with your families again.
One more personal but special moment for me was seeing 2 guests on Saturday, Greg and Aisling, who’s wedding I shot a few years ago. At one point, 3 couples stood around me and I couldn’t believe I had captured each of their weddings in the short few years I’ve been in Vancouver.
An amazing feeling.
Back to Erin and Chris’ day, they first saw each other at Van Dusen gardens, we took some pretty incredible family photos around Laburnum walk and then we made our way to their Cecil Green for an intimate wedding ceremony and onto their reception.
UBC Cecil Green Park House is such an epic location for any wedding or event, the mansion is definitely a sight to behold. Erin and Chris had their ceremony in the luxurious private gardens surrounded by beautiful magnolia and cherry blossom trees. What a picture perfect setting for these two.
Cobblestone stairs led up to the mansion where they held their cocktail hour and reception. Every detail of UBC Cecil Green Park House matches its old world vibe even down to the Minstrels’ Gallery. With the carvings that depict the oak leaves of England, the maple leaf of Canada, and the interlaced Knots of Brotherhood on which many of the architectural features of the house, both inside and out, are based.
Big thanks to these awesome Vancouver vendors for their hard work on the day:
