Rob and Russell have been together for 13 years. A few weeks ago, they left Australia with friends flying in from all over the world, so that they could elope in Vancouver.
Queen Elizabeth Park provided a beautiful backdrop to what was an emotional ceremony. When the ceremony ended, the newly-weds went to each of their friends and family members and gave them a huge hug. They were there to celebrate their love for one another, in front of those closest to them and it was beautiful to see and capture on camera.
We then headed into the park and Vancouver provided the most amazing light to shoot in after which Rob and Russell headed to Seasons in the Park for dinner and drinks and rejoined their guests.
Right now Rob and Russell are on their honeymoon, travelling around Europe before heading to SE Asia. I hope you’re both having a blast fellas..
A big thanks goes out to John Bello for assisting me on this day.

After previewing this elopement, Rob left me the following comment on my blog. It blew me away.
” Sachin, we can’t thank you enough for your professionalism and ability to make us both feel comfortable during the entire process.Your sincerity of wanting to reflect truly the emotion of our elopement ceremony yet truly capture what the day meant to Russell and myself on a personal and intimate level is what makes you so talented and unique.” – Rob
It was one of the sweetest comments anyone could leave and I hope I have done this wedding justice guys.
Congratulations to you both!
I hope our paths connect again soon :)

Very nicely done. I love, love, love that portrait duo of one color, one black and white, where he is kissing his new husband’s head and smiling. Perfectly captures the sentiment of the day.
