Overbury Farm Resort Wedding
Overbury Farm Resort Wedding
Geneviève + Jesse
A warm summers day in July, Jesse biked downhill from his mothers home on Thetis island to find Geneviève waiting for him on the rocks, surrounded by the Straight of Georgia in the Cowichan Valley. I believe this was the first time I captured the ‘first look’ where the bride waited for the groom and it was beautiful in every way.
It was a relaxed day with family and friends travelling from all over the Canada and overseas to join these two. I particularly loved shooting the evening before at the Thetis Island Marina to hear Jesse’s band play along with some open mic and some funky brass tunes. So good! Kids danced in front of the band, kicking up dust (literally) and encouraged the adults to let go, play and join in the fun.
I loved being back at Overbury Farm Resort – Arlene and her family have this place running so smoothly that the wedding day ran without a hitch. Beautiful energy, florals, food, and the setting .. perfect. Thank you Arlene!
[Update 2020: Unfortunately this venue is now closed but you can check out similar island weddings right here.]

“What can we say about our wedding with Sachin! We were blown away by the photos he took, the moments he captured – so full of emotion and love! Sachin is an incredibly professional person who also engaged with our guests. He is curious and attentive to detail – he didn’t let a single important moment pass! We would hire Sachin again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to any couple looking for a hardworking, honest and incredibly talented photographer. Thank you so much Sachin for photographing our wedding – your photos bring tears to our eyes every time we look at them!” – Jesse
Congratulations Geneviève and Jesse!
