Shooting Lawanda and Cal’s wedding at the Chairman’s Suite Terrace at the Fairmont Pacific Rim was a dream.

The panoramic views of Vancouver’s skyline provided a stunning backdrop, perfectly framing their intimate and luxurious ceremony. The Jungle Disco décor allowed the couple’s unique style to shine through, and personal highlights for me included the handwritten vow books and a vintage car photo session. A meaningful ritual with Tulum Tree Sap brought their day a unique, spiritual element. The evening included a gourmet dining experience, a playful cake smash, and a lively party.

• Ceremony Venue: The ceremony occurred at the Chairman's Suite Terrace at the luxurious Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver. This exclusive location offered a stunning view, providing a breathtaking backdrop for the vows and an intimate setting for the couple and their guests.
• Personal Touches: The couple incorporated highly personalized elements into their day, such as handwritten vow books and unique gifts for the bridesmaids. Each detail, from the wedding bands to the custom perfumes, reflected LaWanda and Cal's distinctive taste and love story for their Jungle Disco-themed wedding.

• Music: The ceremony featured a blend of classical and contemporary music, including a live performance by musicians Alex Flock and Krystle, who created extraordinary renditions of popular songs like Bruno Mars' "Nothing on You" and a unique entrance song for the bride. • Ceremonial Ritual: LaWanda and Cal included a special ritual where they inhaled smoke from Tree Sap from Tulum, symbolizing the cleansing of negative spirits and bringing balance and harmony to their union. This ritual added a spiritual and meaningful element to their ceremony.

• Vintage Car: A moment I'll never forget was the couple's photo session with a vintage 55 Sunbeam Tiger, providing a stylish and classic touch to their wedding portraits. We zipped around downtown Vancouver before heading back for cocktail hour.
• Custom Cocktails: During the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed custom cocktails. The live music continued to entertain guests, creating a lively atmosphere as the sun started to set on the day.

• Décor: The reception, held in the Emerald Ballroom, featured elegant and meticulously planned décor, with a seamless transition of floral arrangements from the ceremony space. The room reveals for the couple was a special moment captured on camera, highlighting the exquisite setup by Shing Weddings.
• Gourmet Dining: Guests were treated to a gourmet dining experience with a menu that included Seared Pacific Salmon, Herb Crusted Beef Tenderloin, and Locally Made Semolina Pasta, reflecting the couple's appreciation for fine cuisine.

Memorable Moments Made At The Emerald Ballroom

• First Dance and Cake Smash: The couple's first dance was followed by a playful cake smash, where they shared a moment of fun and laughter with their guests.
• Late-Night Snacks: The celebration continued with a late-night snack station featuring tacos, Margherita flatbreads, and truffle and parmesan fries, ensuring guests were well-fed and energized for the dancing that followed.

• Family Involvement: LaWanda's sons, Baron and Logan, played significant roles in the ceremony, escorting their mother down the aisle. The inclusion of immediate family and friends in various aspects of the day emphasized the couple's strong family bonds and community.

Stylish Exit at Emerald Ballroom

The Grand Exit: The evening concluded with a lively dance party, and their last song, "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z, was epic - leaving their guests with unforgettable memories of a night filled with love, music, and celebration. I stayed to the end of the night and loved every moment.
