Here are the 2 images showcased on Day 4 during Creative Live with Jasmine Star:

Camera Model: Canon EOS 5D
Lens: Nifty Fifty, Plastic Fantastic 50mm f/1.8
Here is some exif data for this image.
Shooting mode: Manual exposure
TV: 1/1000
AV: 1.8
Metering Mode: Evaluative Metering
ISO: 1250
Lens: EF 50mm f/1.8
Focal Length: 50mm
Flash: off
WB mode: Auto
AF Mode: Manual focusing
During the wedding, I manually focused this image as I didn’t have any focal points close to the camera near the bottom of the image. It’s worth practising manually focusing and getting quick at it if you haven’t tried it before. This is something I’m still playing with, but I like having the subject off centre, with lots of negative space. Focusing and recomposing for this image at f/1.8 may have lost the focus point when recomposing. That’s why I chose to manually focus (I also had the time on my hands to do it!)
Camera Model: Canon EOS 5D
Lens: Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG HSM EX|Sigma
Shooting mode: Manual exposure
TV: 1/320
AV: 4.0
Metering Mode: Evaluative Metering
ISO: 1000
Lens: EF 70-200mm
Focal Length: 146mm
Flash: off
WB mode: Auto
AF Mode: One-Shot AF
This image of Laura during the first look with Billy I loved because of the ring and Laura’s expression.
I hope you like both the images.
Feel free to leave a comment if you have any queries.

By the way… I’ll be updating my blog with images from Billy and Laura’s wedding soon… stay tuned!

  1. Sachin, you are a GREAT wedding photographer. These photos are breathtaking. The bokeh and flowers paired with the hard lines of the camera equipment and leather in the first is spectacular!

  2. I just LOVE that shot of Laura. The expression in her eyes says it all… so in love :-)

  3. Hi FelixAndrei,
No, I just used the noise removal tool that is available as sliders withing PS.
Let me know if you need any more info

  4. Thank you Paulette. I really appreciate that…
    Everyone has been very supportive!!
All the best to you too

  5. I just wanted to know if you did use some. What's the max ISO you shoot? Hey, I'm @pixeldarkroom and have watched you live in Seattle. You're a blessed man. :)

  6. I dont like to go above 1250 personally, but I need to invest some more time in learning about noise removal if I do shoot above that.
I find the 5D handles noise quite well…
    What do you shoot with?

Thanks for watching us on cLIVE. It was a great experience and I miss everyone from it…

    Following you now on twitter…

  7. These images are just amazing. I loved them when you showed them during Creative Live and still do. What a great detail shot. I love getting all the details at weddings. They have put so much into everything and it's nice to have great documentation for when it's all over. And the photo of Laura, BAM! Such a great emotion you captured and… HELLO RING! Just stunning. I can't wait to see the rest of your images.

  8. I shoot 5dm2 but haven't really used higher than 400 ISO. I tried to use a bunch of off camera 580s. I want to work some more with high ISO, after seeing j*'s work. Are you keeping busy?

  9. I have always been afraid to shoot with manual focus but gave it a try this afternoon and I can see where this would have come in handy especially with my 50. Thanks for giving me the inspiration and the push I needed to try something new.

  10. Nicole, that is AWESOME!! Can you share some photos??
I love shooting manual focus.. its so much fun right? (when there's no pressure!)
    Keep practising!!
