Yesterday I grabbed my 50D and went out shooting with my uncle. One of my family members who really influenced my photography at a young age and inspired me to start shooting.
Having bought the 5D, I haven’t really used the 50D as much so I took it out to try out a few things and experiment with it. [I used my 70-200mm f/2.8 for each shot except the portait which was shot with my 50mm f/1.8)
I remember hearing Becker once say that he prefers the in camera black & white processing of his camera and then he processes from those results. I hadn’t tried this yet and I’m keen to find some good black & white conversions / actions. [I know this is not everyone’s cup of tea, preferring to shoot colour and then converting, but I’m keen to experiment so gave it ago].
I’ll add those shots up later but here are a few from a small trip to the Wetlands Centre near Hammersmith
With it being autumn, its a great opportunity to shoot in good light in a great location.
I really like the light tones and colours in this image:
Something a bit more abstract from hay fields:

My uncle, Manu Kaka – Thank you for a great day out. It was great to finally go out and shoot with you. I can’t wait to do it again…
This is my favourite image of the day… I like the black background which really highlights the subject
Hope you all had a great weekend..
